Our long term friends have lived in Saddlebrooke, AZ for more than 10 years, and after talking with them about our ideas we began a home search in Saddlebrooke. I made a trip down and looked at some homes, put in an offer, and eventually cancelled the offer due to a loss of confidence in the integrity of the sellers and some significant unresolved issues with the house. Then both of us flew down and spent 4 days with our friends. We continued to look on line, had another issue with a different seller, and were becoming somewhat frustrated. Then our friends told us about another home on the market and we started to study that property, again on line. Turns out it was the same floor plan as our friends home, with some upgrades that really appealed to us. We did some research on the listing agent, Joan Tennison, and decided to speak with her about working with us, as well as the seller. Joan has turned out to an absolute joy to work with: quite direct, extremely helpful, very competent, and simply makes things happen. Any question or issue, she either had an answer of found someone who did. We have always been biased toward doing something – lead, follow, or get out of the way. We feel that Joan and us resonated when going through all of the process involved in buying a home. We now own that home, and Joan is still there, offering advice, solving problems, and explaining the many idiosyncrasies involved in the HOA, Pinal County, and the community. She has made the transition much easier, and for that we are thankful.

She skillfully lead us through the entire selling process, from listing through closing the sale. She provided just the right amount of assistance and guidance but was never overly aggressive or pushy. We have bought and sold many homes over the years and have learned that the seller's agent role is where realtors really earn their keep, so to speak. Joan recommended a starting price that was just right. Not too high or too low. We accepted an offer from one of the first buyers to see the home. The market is not "red hot" like it was in 2022 and so we needed to have an effective selling strategy which Joan provided us with. Other homes in our area had been sitting on the market for 60-90 days or more, seemingly over priced. With Joan's guidance, we accepted an offer in less than 30 days. Joan went above and beyond for us as our selling agent. We had a very quick timeframe to list, pack and move out of our home and Joan was instrumental in making this all happen. She not only performed the traditional role of Realtor from a transactional standpoint, she also assisted us in dealing with some very stressful issues that related to our packing and moving. She has connections with other professionals in areas like Estate Sales that were invaluable to us at a very stressful time. When you have to list, pack and move in two weeks, having someone like Joan on your side is a tremendous advantage.
